Relighting Project: United Nations Project Terbol, Libanon

In cooperation with the United Nations, Baiyiled was chosen as the main supplier of the street lighting project in Rayfoun, Lebanon. Rayfoun is a tourist spot in a beautiful mountainous area. The electricity supply in Lebanon is very unstable, with no electricity available for a few hours a day. Often companies, hospitals and private individuals have to rely on their own power generator, but municipalities cannot afford these generators and the street lights fail. This can make it very dark in the evening and at night when the power goes out, which is very dangerous for traffic.

For that reason, the United Nations has started a project to provide parts of Lebanon with street lamps that work with a solar panel. As main supplier, we have provided Rayfoun with Baiyiled Street lamps that work with solar panels. These lamps have a lifespan of over 50000 hours, use little energy and require no maintenance. Because of this, the people of Rayfoun are always provided with the best possible street lighting in dark times.

Breda is an innovative city that constantly looks at ways to make it more sustainable and ensures the safety of its citizens. For these reasons, the municipality decided to upgrade the Ginnekenhof to LED lighting. The existing conventional street lighting has been replaced by brand new Baiyiled LED Highbays. As a result, the municipality saves around 70% on its energy consumption, while the light output has greatly improved.

The Ginnekenhof was illuminated with huge SOX lamps. This lighting uses a lot of energy and does not produce much light in proportion. Moreover, these lamps ensure high operating costs due to the short service life and much maintenance.

The Ginnekenhof was equipped with the Baiyiled High-Bays. This was the best solution for the task. The Baiyiled Highbays are specially designed to replace the conventional lamps and deliver the best light output and energy consumption. These fixtures have ensured that power consumption has been reduced by 70%. Thanks to the high IP value, the Baiyiled High-Bays are protected against water, dust-proof and do not require any maintenance. Thanks to the savings, the municipality has had a return on its investment within a few years!
