Relighting Project: Wintersport Facilities At De Uithof, Den Haag

De Uithof in The Hague is a popular location for sport enthusiasts in the Netherlands and is home to the HYS Hokij, the most successful Dutch Icehockey club. The sport center decided to upgrade their Winter sport facility to Baiyiled LED lighting. With Baiyiled LED Luminaires in place, De Uithof saves up to 70% on the energy costs while the light level nearly doubled in the area!

De Uithof was using conventional HPI lamps with a high power consumption to light up the area as good as possible. However, these lamps require a lot of maintenance and use a lot of energy while still not delivering the required amount of light. The sport center decided to replace the lighting for a more sustainable option and opted to BAIYILED lighting consultants to find the best possible solution.

The 400 meter ice rink of the gigantic sport centre was provided with the Baiyiled Emily Flood Lights, which are specially developed to provide high efficiency (140 Lm/W) and an outstanding light output. The Ice hockey hall was provided with the BAIYILED GKC LED High Bays with different Watts to deliver the best possible amount of light with the least amount of Watts required.

With the highly efficient luminaires of BAIYILED in place, De Uithof reduced their energy consumption from 37.5 KW to a low 10.6 KW, while increasing the LUX level from 200 lx to 400 lx throughout the area. The lighting did not only reduce the sport centers energy costs, but since the lighting has a lifespan over 50000 hours without requiring any maintenance, it also reduced the maintenance costs. Finally, the lighting project contributed to achieving the sustainable goal of De Uithof by lowering the CO2 emissions significantly.

BAIYILED Emily LED Floodlights

The Emily LED flood lights is the best LED solution to replace conventional Flood lights and are IP65 and IK08 certified, which means that these luminaires can be placed in or outside and can withstand even the most extreme conditions. Furthermore, the fixtures are equipped with a tilting mechanism, which allows the Emily to light up a bigger surface.

BAIYILED GKC High Bay

The Baiyiled GKU is specially developed to replace conventional HQI lamps while providing the best lumen output and energy efficiency. These fixtures reduced the energy consumption per fixture significantly. Due to the high IP rating of the Baiyiled GKC, the fixture is protected against water, is dust tight and requires no maintenance. Taking these advantages in account, the Return on Investment is quickly realised.
